Seventy seven
a small room in Bracken Place
a roundabout and a narrow way
a tennis court that is never used.

The lovely satin bedspread I have
makes it cosy
I like the room’s smallness
the walls are c loser
protecting me
when outside
the velvety dusk of a violet hue
turns to a monstrous dark hole
all those beautiful trees at daytime
are so hostile at night
and I think
it’s because at daytime they breathe out oxygen
while at night they turn to competitors
breathing the O element
like us
In this magnolia room I wrote poems
that surprise me
when I read them now
as now and then
feel the same.
