which shimmers

like wood paint

balance composed masterpiece

above some canvas

smear that glorious waste into metaphor

and stroke the sc ulpture’s silhouette on glass

appear elec tric mad

and weld water softly.

An open window to the colour green

and every open door

is now a c losed window

So march out to the green of the spring

through the door

of purple and white green
